    Enthusiast Greenhouses: Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this greenhouse best for?
The Enthusiast Greenhouse is best for someone who is looking to add a cute addition to their yard and that would enjoy experimenting with greenhouse gardening.

Can I use this greenhouse year-round?
Because the covering material used on this greenhouse is not insulated, you cannot heat this greenhouse and it will not stay warm enough to actively grow throughout the winter. Because of this, it is best to use the Enthusiast for starting seedlings in the springtime and protecting your plants when temperatures drop a bit during early fall.

Does this greenhouse feature a warranty?
The Enthusiast Greenhouse features a 5-year limited warranty.

How long does it take to assemble?
Because of its simple design, most people are able to assemble this greenhouse within a day or so.

What kind of paneling is used on this greenhouse?
A single-walled polycarbonate covering is used on the Enthusiast. It is a clear plastic material that provides plenty of light transmission, but it does not provide diffused light or have insulating qualities.

What is the frame made of?
The Enthusiast frame has both plastic and aluminum components.

What kind of shelving is available for this greenhouse?
The greenhouse kit does not come with any shelving. However, many people build their own shelving or purchase the benches made for Hobbyist greenhouses.

Can I hang plants in this greenhouse?
Because the Enthusiast greenhouse does not have any hanging rods, you are not able to hang plants in it.

Can I add extra vents and fans to this greenhouse?
The greenhouse kit comes with two roof vents and a base vent. For best results, you should consider adding solar openers to these vents. The Enthusiast greenhouse is not recommended for summertime use, when extra vents and fans are most important. However, if you still find that the greenhouse is becoming too hot even in more mild weather, a blower could be added.
