I am amazed at how sturdy this greenhouse is. We purchased to help extend growing season and to better control the elements. Here is a link to our installation. Now I cannot wait till Spring to really get things going! http://oregongreenacres.wordpress.com/2013/09/30/the-greenhouse-project/

I like how solid the structure is when finished. I am sure it will stand up to wind and snow loads. I did discover that the greenhouse got quite hot (109 degrees F) on hot, sunny days, so I put up a shade. Also, you definitely want at least 2 people when erecting the kit. It took two weeks to finish, working 3-4 hours per day.

Just finished putting the greenhouse up. We will use it for house plant starts and because we live at 1000' elevation we will use it to get an early start on garden items. We chose Solexx because of the cost, design, and material flexibility to adapt and repair easily should it need it. It was way harder than expected, even though the installation manual was very detailed, interior shelving that is integrated with frame really adds to the job, and weight. We modified tubing in rear of greenhouse so we could install a potting counter with our old kitchen sink. My one suggestion would be to come up with better way to seal ends of panels. Trying to silicone each and every little opening was insane, would be great if they came up with an end cap that was filled or could be filled before installing on ends of panels. You guys are great! Hope it doesn't sound like I'm disappointed, I'm not. Really appreciate the support and advise we got during construction of our greenhouse.

I had questions before I purchased the kit, about installation, and putting up the greenhouse, and after built how to maintain heat. The staff are responsive, helpful, and pleasant. I recommend working with Solexx company. I love my new 8x12 greenhouse, the light enters without "hot" spots. It is sturdy. I'm in a colder winter zone so do have a small heater to maintain above freezing temps. I had an electrician friend install electric inside and LOVE all the lights I can now hang on the shelves, and have heat mats as well. A definite upgrade from my rotting wooden one. I bought a fan with temperature controls and in the summer I'm sure will be helpful to keep it from overheating.

I ordered the 8 X 12 Solexx Oasis greenhouse with the deluxe package as a retirement gift to myself. I had a bit of a unique situation in that I wanted to fit an 8 X 12 greenhouse in a 10 X 15.5 space (with a roof overhang on one side of 2.5 ft at 7 ft vertically. I had been looking at greenhouses for years and I lucked up on Solexx - it was the only greenhouse that was sturdy but light enough to allow me to move it around during construction, and I literally had to move it in all directions to complete the job. I did the construction mostly by myself, working around two hours a day over 2 weeks. I did get a friend to help out installing the 12-foot-long side panels, but he noted that one could do this alone by using duct tape to hold the panels. First, this company (Adapt8) is wonderful to work with, especially during the Covid19 pandemic when supply chains tended to be disrupted. They were always helpful and caring during inevitable delays which were not their fault. I was short a few parts and they mailed the missing connectors very quickly which did not delay my progress. Second, I found the instruction manual to be very good and detailed with precise measurements given. It is important to study the manual, and, when you get the 7 or so boxes in, make sure that all parts are present. To help keep things straight, in the manual I cross-referenced (in writing) the parts list on the first two pages with the step where they would be used. Then in each step I also labeled the box from which the parts in that step came. Finally, as I removed parts from boxes, I grouped them (with rubber bands) and labeled them with post-it adhesive notes as to the step where they would be used. I was able to spread everything out in order of step on my garage floor. Some suggestions based on my experience: In addition to the tools listed I found the following useful -white rubber mallet (especially for snap-T's attachment and movement), hacksaw (if tubing has to be cut as I did for the door), levels (both 8 inch and 36 inch), homemade scaffold. The homemade scaffold I built was with two small sawhorses and 6-foot long 2 X 6 boards across. It was particularly useful in building the roof frame. The most onerous task was sealing the flute ends of panels with caulk. The hardest construction part for me was getting the door to fit the frame. I had to cut the middle cross bar to do so. Everything else was rather easy and the product is engineered very well. In terms of space, the greenhouse has 6 shelves total, each around 8 feet long, plus the floor beneath the shelves, plus two hanging support rods. Each shelf can fit eight 1020 (10 inch by 20 inch) trays, each tray holding eighteen 4 inch pots. You can do the math. This, in short, is an amazing greenhouse, with a ton of space, and worth every penny. I added a 1.5 KW heater, a 10-inch exhaust fan with temperature/humidity controller, four 48 inch full-spectrum grow lights, four 48 inch heating mats with individual thermostat controllers, a weather station with internal and external temp/humidity readings, a thermometer with current, and Max and Min temperatures for the previous 24 hours, a solar light, and a velcro/magnetic screen curtain door. Tomato seedlings started at the end of December are now 12 inches tall. It has been fun....
