Greenhouse Misting System

July 3rd, 2006 by scott

A good greenhouse misting system can be invaluable for cooling down your plants on on these hot summer days.

Greenhouse Catalog offers a great misting system that has UV tubing, a 10 foot leader line, 12 feet of misting line, and 6 separate misting nozzles.

It installs in minutes, it hooks up to any outdoor water supply, and it even comes with mounting brackets.  See it  here – Greenhouse misting system

I suppose a greenhouse can be a double edged sword… keeps the plants nice and warm in the winter, but too hot in the summer…

This is especially true with greenhouses made with clear coverings. Shade cloth, misting systems, and ventilation all help. Some materials allow more burning rays than others, so that is also a consideration. Many plants can tolerate hot temperatures but cannot tolerate the burning rays.

Solexx is an ideal glazing for a summer greenhouse. It provides some natural shading and will filter out the burning rays.
