The Metro-Grower container is self-watering so you don't need to rush in the morning to water your window-boxes or patio garden, or risk coming home to droopy, wilting plants. The roots of the plant reach down through the soil and drink from the reservoir when necessary, which prevents under or over watering.
It doesn't matter if you have a backyard, balcony or just a corner, the Metro-Grower works indoors, on the ground, in the shade, and in the sun!

Simply mix in the amendments with your soil, plant your vegetables, and wait until the roots are long enough to dip into the water reservoir. You'll never have to worry about over or under watering again!
A small footprint makes the Metro- Grower a perfect addition for the corner of your balcony, and with its unique external reservoir you won't have to remember to fit watering into your busy schedule. By using the Worm Factory 360 as a companion product, you can fit a square foot garden complete with compost pile on your balcony! There is no reason for you to feel left out of growing your own delicious organic vegetables simply because you lack a backyard.
Both plants and animals, including humans, benefit from a regular supply of trace minerals, which are best transferred to the human body through vegetables grown in soil rich in trace minerals.
Today nearly all agriculture land is depleted of trace minerals, due in part to the exclusive use of chemical fertilizers and ground water pollution.
For trace minerals to be quickly absorbed by plants they must be finely ground into rock dust. In technical terms – 75 microns.
Because these trace minerals are so finely ground, they react like clay,
clumping together when any amount of moisture is added.
Trace minerals in the soil amendments included with the Metro-Grower will
attach to the dry coir when mixed together. This spreads the trace minerals
evenly as the coir is in all of the soil medium in the Metro- Grower.
